Bolifushi Island is a divers paradise with two fabulous house reefs, great for dawn and dusk dives and snorkelling. The local reefs offer a range of colourful fringing drop-offs, and there are several first-class night dives nearby.
The PADI certified Best Dives centre at Bolifushi Island offers diving in some of the world’s rarest coral reefs as well as diving certifications. Dive into the warm waters of the Indian Ocean to discover exotic sea creatures. Swim over exotic coral formations. Discover butterflyfish nibbling on coral, a spotted eagle ray, and brightly coloured parrotfish. Swim with sea turtles, manta rays, and rarely even a majestic whale shark.
Bolifushi Island is surrounded by six shipwreck sites, each teeming with dazzling fish. You’ll get to dive at famous wrecks and ocean caves, including the Bolifushi Wreck site, a utopia for colourful collections of dazzling fish. Some of the sites are close to the house reef and others a short boat ride away. The wrecks range from small vessels to a cargo ship and, as a result, a vast array of marine life is on display in the surrounding waters. Test your nerves as you swim around the bones of a shipwreck covered in coral growth and witness frozen moments in time.
Start your certifications and complete the online examinations at home through PADI eLearning and begin diving lessons as soon as you arrive at the island.
